Yachting is one of the finest ways to explore Turkey’s ancient and modern heritage of the Byzantine, Greek, Roman, Persian, Ottoman eras.
River Rafting – The fast flowing rivers of the Taurus Mountains foam with the white water, especially after the snow melts in spring. 6-10 person rafts or two-seater canoes are available on the Kuprulu Cay or in Dalaman.
Sea Kayaking – Two-seater or single modern lightweight kayaks are available at the reed-fringed lake of Koycegiz or the sea lagoon of Ucagiz.
Scuba Diving – In the cities of Antalya and Didim the prospect of exploring the coast line promises an adventure of a life time.
Sailing / Water Skiing / Kite & Wind Surfing / Boat & Fishing Trips are wildly available in all Turkey’s coastal cities.

Parachute Jumping & Paragliding – Turkey’s balmy climate offers the ideal conditions and the breathtaking views of the Dead Sea make the 1500m jump off the Baba Mountain irresistible. There is also the opportunity to paraglide 800m above Kas, when launch off the cliffs.
Hot Air Ballooning – Cappadoccia and Fethiye offers tourists the chance to experience the local wilderness from another angle. This is fast becoming a popular choice of activity with the tourists.

Mountain Trekking – The Mount Ararat, the chain Mountains of Taurus and the Seven Capes Trek offer tourists exciting treks that take in some of Turkey’s prettiest sights and relics of the Lycian era.
The Natural Parks in Turkey attract many visitors due to the Hunting season. Alternatively, the national parks offer great spaces to take a picnic in or spending lazy days observing the Wild Life such as Bird Watching. Horse Riding is also available in the parks.
Golf – Belek the premier golfing centre of Turkey, boasts over eight championship golf courses which catering for all player levels. In the Golf Worlds Golf Escapes 2007 supplement, Belek was featured as one of the top hot spots to experience.
Explore the various Historic Caves and remains of the Ancient Cities from the various great empires such as, the Lycian, Hellenistic, Byzantine, Roman, Persian, Greek and Ottoman eras. Walking through the remains of these great heritages creates a feeling of living in the past and present at the same time.
Turkey is known for its long sunny summers (April - October) and all out-door activities, but there is a lot more to discover. Its geographical position and winter climate has established some fantastic Skiing resorts offering you the option to either ski or sun bathing on the beach during spring. The main ones are Uludag in Bursa, Kartalkaya in Bolu, Ilgaz in Kastamonu, Sarikamis in Kars, Palandoken in Erzurum and Seki Erenbeleni, which is only 75km away from Fethiye.
The thermal baths in Pamukkale, literally translated as ‘cotton castle’. This is a gorgeous calcium rock formation and is a highly recommended excursion with many Hot Thermal Baths & Spas to sample. It is highly recommended to explore the various Roman Baths & Hamams (Turkish Baths) to be found throughout Turkey.
Visit the Istanbul Formula 1 track that has already established itself as one of the truly great circuits on the Formula 1 calendar. Bernie Ecclestone described it as “the best track in the world” and has signed a 15 year lease to show his commitment to the City.
Go-carting – Alanya hosts Turkey’s largest go-cart track.
Shopping – All visitors should not leave without buying at least a Turkish carpet called ‘kilim’, a blue glass eye that keeps the evil away from you and an exquisite piece of gold and silver jewellery, with or without a stone setting. Gold prices are the same worldwide, but the labour is cheap. Leather goods such as ladies bags, belts and shoes are also an excellent investment.
Organic Dinning – Turkey offers a wide range of culinary delights, whether it’s ‘tres chic’, luxury, expensive, budget, food stalls or fresh fish restaurants, it’s all of an excellent standard.
